You can tell a lot of my friends are gay just by their personality. If you where to meet me on the street you would have no idea I am gay. I do not broadcast the fact, but I have no problem telling people. When I meet someone new they don't say "Hi, I am Mike and I am straight" so I see no need to say Hi, I am Jeff and I am gay. I like to look good when I go out, but I am not in to fashion. My co-workers age from 23-55 yro. All my co-workers know I am gay and they treat me with respect.

In my term at the two malls I encountered everything from a baby left in a restroom at Westmoreland mall to a shooting within the Monroeville Mall. I receive a letter of appreciation from the Monroeville Chief of Police for my actions in detaining two shooters leading to their conviction.

I was also employed by Rentway for 6 1/2 years and managed 5 stores for them. Four in the Pittsburgh region and one in the Chicago region. Rentways 1000 stores were recently sold to Rent-A-Center.

I currently work as general contractor and web publisher. As a general contractor I do commercial roofing and siding for large apartment complex's, such as the Heinz Lofts. As a web publisher I own Pittsburgh Web Source and publish pittsburghwebsource.com gaywebsource.com and portaltaxi.com

I spend way to much time on the internet.

My mom died 4 days after my 21st birthday and my dad when I was 24yro. My friends are my real family who helped me get though life. Thank you, you know who you are!

I treat my true friends as family. I went though a lot growing up because my father had Huntington's Disease. It is a hereditary disease that would make him violent at times. At early stages it was thought to be altimers. He never beat my brothers or I unless it was for discipline, but he was very violet verbally and physical with my mother. On one occasion she had to seek medical help. Six months prior to my moms passing I had to commit my dad into a mental hospital because he flipped out on my mom. It took 2 police officers and 4 fellow firefighter to subdue my father. From this point I then placed him in a nursing home. Shortly after my mom passed away. I had just turned 21 four days prior and my younger brother was 17. At that point we where on our own. Both my parents had large families, but none of them ever came around to check on us. It was my friends who where there for me though these tough times. The old saying is you can pick your friends but not your family. Well thank God I picked some great friends.

Well that is where I am today! I will turn 43 yrs old in a few weeks. I feel like I am starting my life over. The first 40 had some ups and downs, but they made me what I am today. I look forward to the next 40 years.
